Biomass Pellet Making Machine Working Principle
1. Pretreatment: The raw material is crushed to an appropriate particle size (usually less than 5mm), and the moisture content is controlled between 12% and 18%. This softens the raw material, gelatinizes the starch, and brings the lignin to its glass transition temperature, enhancing the plasticity of the raw material.
2. Extrusion Molding: The pretreated raw material is fed into the compression chamber of the pellet mill. Under high pressure and high temperature, the raw material becomes a thermoplastic substance. Through the extrusion action of the die, the raw material is compressed into pellets.
Main Structure of Biomass Pellet Making Machine
1. Feeding System: Includes a variable frequency speed control motor, transmission device, reducer, auger shaft, and auger housing, used to provide a suitable feed rate to the conditioner.
2. Conditioning System: Consists of a motor, main shaft, conditioning rotor, housing, and steam inlet, used to introduce steam to condition the mixture to a certain temperature and humidity to improve the pelleting characteristics of the material.
3. Granulation System: This includes the main motor, transmission mechanism, rotor, ring die, pressure rollers, scraper, cutter assembly, and machine body. The conditioned material is evenly fed into the area between the ring die and the pressure rollers. As the ring die and pressure rollers rotate relative to each other, the material is squeezed into the ring die holes and continuously extruded outwards to form strip-shaped granules.
4. Transmission System: A high-power motor is driven by a heavy-duty reduction gearbox or gearbox to ensure stable operation of the equipment.
